She will be sorely missed by many


Howard, Georgia Gentry

HOWARD Mrs. Georgia Gentry Howard, 88, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born Oct. 6, 1918, in Ashe County to Frank Austin and Alice Louellen Vickers Gentry. Mrs. Howard was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. John Allen Howard; a daughter, Shirley Park; three brothers; and a sister. Surviving are a grandson, Bradley Park; and a son-in-law, Jim Park, both of Cherokee; a brother, Bill Gentry; and a sister, Margie Lambert, both of Danville, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Reed officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407, or Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
